Hindi Diwas 2022 was celebrated in Iceland on 14 Sep 2022 and 23 Sep 2022 as part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav". Ambassador read out messages of Hon'ble Prime Minister & Home Minister on the occasion. Indian diaspora participated in Hindi essay writing, poem recital & elocution contests. Participants were awarded with certificates/prizes. Previously, on 14 September 2022, ICCR Chair of Indian Studies, Mrs. Shilpa Khatri Babbar delivered a lecture titled "Linguistic Diversity in India" at the University of Iceland (14 September).
