India-Iceland Business Forum 2023
The Embassy of India in Iceland, Indo-Iceland Business Association, India-Iceland Trade Council and Business Iceland jointly organized the India-Iceland Business Forum 2023 at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik on 29th September 2023. The Forum was inaugurated by H.E The President of Iceland Mr Guðni Th. Johannesson.
An Indian Business delegation comprising 40 Businessmen from various sectors from healthcare, energy, gems and jewellery, tour & travel and hardware manufacturers participated in the B2B forum.
An exhibition of Indian items was also held on the sidelines to showcase products. Presentations by experts included fisheries, carbon capture & storage, potential for future collaboration btw both countries etc. among others.
A Letter of Intent between IIBA and Carbfix to cooperate on carbon sequestration was also exchanged in the presence of H.E. The President of Iceland. The event provided a unique opportunity to strengthen and deepen trade and business relations between the two countries. It concluded with a panel discussion and a Q/A session with the experts.
His Excellency Ambassador Shri B. Shyam hosted a reception for the visiting delegation and local Icelandic businessmen.
